According to the Law on Intellectual Property, a “Collective management organization” is defined as a non-profit legal entity established by authors, copyright holders, and related rights holders for the purpose of exercising and protecting the exclusive rights to use their works. Such organizations may be established based on specific categories of copyrighted works and related rights objects and are formed at the initiative of authors and rights holders.
Collective management organizations operate by entering into cooperation agreements with the intellectual property office in order to exercise and protect copyright and related rights.
In this context, the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia is organizing a training session on “Copyright and Related Rights” for executive management, staff of collective management organizations, and the general public.
